Good morning, ?????.

Thank you for the reply. Based upon the information you shared, I have a few questions and some comments.

From which of Johannes' brothers do you descend: Henry, August or Otto?

I have information suggesting Johannes' father's full name to be Johannes Adam. You suggest Johannes, the younger, was a "Jr". Is the second given name Adam correct and did the younger Johannes also carry the second given name Adam?

Where did you find records referring to Lavenia as "Lawiene"? While her grave marker does suggest the alternate spelling "Levenia", I've not come across the spelling "Lawiene".

Where did you find information suggesting Louisa's full name was Marie Emma Louise GIESE? Her entry in the GIESE Family Bible, grave marker and entries in the various census enumerations only identify her as Luise|Louise|Louisa.

Lavenia was born 04 August 1870, in Houston County, Texas. This information is derived from census records, land records and the divorce records of her parents. Primarily, Drury, Margaret and Ione are found enumerated in the 1970 census residing in Houston County (13 July), less than one month before Lavenia's birth.

Lavenia died 15 October 1944. She was not living with her brother in Teague — though family lore suggests that and she did live with him as recently as a few years before her death. Rather, she was living with her daughter, Louisa, in The Groves. That is also where she is buried, near her daughter in Greenlawn Cemetery. All of these facts are confirmed by her death certificate.

I'm always seeking new records concerning my ggAunt and her descendants. Any additional resources you can identify — especially those which you used to derive your data — will be much appreciated.
