Just an FYI for anyone researching families in the Kurten area: The Zion Church has put the Kurten Cemetery record book (dating from 1865 to 2010) on their website: http://kurtenchurch.com/about/history at the bottom of the page.

The first few pages look to have been recorded retroactively (possibly these are people buried before the Kurten family turned it into a public cemetery), since they're not in order of burial, but most of the records were recorded as the person was buried. Notes are inconsistent, but some older records also list the father of the deceased, and most of the records list birth and death dates as well as the grave and lot numbers, which could help if you're looking for an older grave that was either unmarked or where the stone has faded or broken.
