My Name is Raul A. Urdiales Jr. I am writing you from San Antonio, Texas, where my Father and Myself have been trying to backtrack our anscestors. As far as we can tell my Great Great parents were from Las Colonias San Pedro, Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, Mexico. His parents imigrated to the United States in the early 1900's. in addition, my dad has found a town in Santaria, Spain, called Campo De Urdiales, which most Urdiales seem to have imigrated from.
It seems that, during the Spainish/French War, the French bombarded the city, causing the habitiants of Campo De Urdiales to imigrate down to Uraguay, Mexico, etc. We have
not been able to make a connection, but, maybe at some other date, I will be able to share that with you.
At the moment, the some of the Urdiales' in San Antonio, texas might only be related as distant cousins. If you find a connection, please let me Know.
