I am looking for information on a couple that lived in Tripp County, South Dakota in the early 1900's. Arthur C. McKee and Grace Edith Lefler were married in October of 1906 in Yankton, South Dakota. At the time they both lived in Crofton, Knox, Nebraska. Shortly there after they moved to Tripp County, South Dakota. Below is some of the data that I have placing them in Tripp County.

1910 Federal Census Lamro, South Dakota
Arthur McKee age 23
Grace McKee age 19
Clara McKee age 3
Melvin age 1
Louis McKee age 19 (Arthur's Brother)

1915 South Dakota Census Lamro, South Dakota
Arthur McKee age 28 married to a woman with the maiden name Lefler
Gracie McKee age 24
Clara McKee age 8
Melvin McKee age 6
Loyd McKee age 4
Vern McKee age 2

1918 World War I Draft Registration
Arthur Charles McKee age 35
Married to Grace E. McKee
Resides in Winner, South Dakota

In particular I am looking for information between the years of 1918 and 1922. Arthur McKee shows up in Montana and North Dakota starting in 1922 with his marriage to Elda Alice Terry in Wibaux, MT. But he has changed his last name to Smith. Grace E. Lefler shows up as well in 1922 when she marries a Floyd Percy in Gregory County, South Dakota.

I cannot find Arthur, Grace, their children or Floyd Percy in the 1920 census. Family stories suggest that Floyd Percy and Grace McKee had an affair. They were caught in the affair by Arthur who proceeded to assault Mr. Percy to the point of near death. He then fled the country and changed his name fearing he had killed the man. Family stories suggest he may have fled to Canada.

I would be particularly interested in a divorce decree for Arthur and Grace as she is listed as divorced on her marriage certificate to Floyd Percy. I am also interested if someone can do a look up in the local newspapers for that time for a news story about Arthur being a fugitive from justice or perhaps a story of a local man (Floyd Percy) being severely beaten.
