My grandfather, Charles McCarty, homesteaded in about 1912 4 miles south and mile east of the Ralph store. My father, Willard McCarty, took over the Homestead about 1925 when he married my mother Cora Olson. In 1932 I was born (Robert McCarty), we continue to live on the Homestead until the fall of 1940 when my father purchased the Ralph store from a man named Wesley Nelson. I am writing and autobiography and some history about the area and am trying to find out who owned the Ralph store between 1912 when a man named Lee Johnson built it and 1940 when my father purchased it from Wesley Nelson. Any information about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
