Interesting!
Thanks for clarifying which Charles Hammett. I did find Charles and Lula Hammett on the 1920 Census with children Hortense, Harvey ? (hard to read name), Lillie M., and Mary L.

They were on the same page as Walter Smith and wife Olive. Hattie Anderson was living with the Smiths. Hattie and Olive were sisters and were McAlister descendants. They were daughters of Martha A. McAlister (Mrs. Joel E. Anderson) who was a sister of my great-grandmother Fannie McAlister Sammons. Next to them was George W. Hill and wife Elizabeth. I don't know if they are related to my grandfather Herbert Harris Hill or not. A McDowell family and a Dillard family are on either side of the Hammetts in the 1920 census on that same Sheet.

I've searched all of Chick Springs in 1920, but cannot find any Heyward Green. I wonder if that was a middle name? Perhaps I should go to 1900 and look for the Tandy Reid Green you mention.

Were your George Green and Elizabeth Underwood Green associated with the Greens at Brushy Creek Baptist Church? I've wondered if my Elizabeth "Lizzie" Green McAlister is part of that early family that came from Virginia ...

The problem is that there are so many connections I find myself going off in ten directions at once on these family lines. Do you do that, too?
