I know you're looking for the 1905 census but you also mentioned a female Silva of abt. 1 yr of age in 1905. has several but not all of the books in the series "Alphabetical Index to Births, Marriages and Deaths Recorded in Providence" by Charles V. Chapin, MD

This page which has some Silva births that I was interested in should contain your female Silva as well. It will give the volume & page in the City of Providence records where the vital event is recorded:

You may even find some births you didn't know about such as a child that went unnamed because he or she died shortly after birth or another born between censuses who died young before being recorded in a census.

And a couple of surprises such as the official DOB being different from what the family/individual thought it was. I've found that 2x & did get the birth records for both. the Chapin book was correct and what the family had for DOB was wrong. People really didn't have all that many reasons back that early to need to correctly remember DOBs, not like now.

I've also found some omissions in the Chapin books but that's not surprising considering they are transcriptions from the original records.

Another thing to consider if when looking for a birth record in RI, if the record is not found at the state level at RI State Archives, since the official state BMD records were, at one time, created at the end of a calendar year by each municipality transcribing their records into ledger style books that were then submitted to the state, is to look to the city/town records for BMD.

You didn't mention the parents/adults involved but if they were Antoine & Delphina (sometimes seen as Delfina/Delphine/Delfine), we may be looking at the same family.

Also, birth in Portgual could also mean birth in the Azores which were considered a part of Portgual.

1925 RI census says my Delphina was b. Azores while the 1910 - 1930 censuses all say Portugal. One of Antoine & Delphina's daughters was an aunt by marriage so I know from her that her mother Delphina was b. in the Azores; Portugal = Azores in this instance. I'm also finding this Portugal = Azores with another Portuguese line married into the family.

Here is a list of all of them I was able to find awhile back:
