Charles H Kraft, 64, of 1616 Walnut Street, died at his home this morning at 4:30 o’clock after being seriously ill for one week.
Mr. Kraft, a watchman at Potts colliery, Locust Dale, had been employed as an engineer there for many years.
A son of the late Frederick and Mary, nee Ritter, Kraft, he was a native and lifelong resident of this community and was a member of Zion’s Lutheran Church of town.
He was a member of the Washington Fire Company.
To survive he leaves his wife, the former Anna Omlor, formerly of Locust Dale and three sons: Harold, Luther and Raymond, all of Ashland. Six grandchildren and one brother, John, of Cressona, also survive.
The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the Otto Funeral Home at 200 Centre Street. Rev. John Weaver, pastor of Zion’s Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 7 to 9.
