Pauline Carsia, 93, formerly of Oakmont Acres, Hazle Township, and Monges Street, Hazleton, passed away Friday at Heritage Hill, Weatherly. Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Mae (Sarlo) Gerrone and was a member of Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton. She was retired from Selective Service as a secretary for the draft board.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Rocco Carsia in 1982; sisters, Mary Gerrone, Jennie Lombardo, Lucy Pacelli, and Louise Billet; and brother, Daniel Gerrone.
Surviving are her daughters, Paula Maurer and her husband, Jake, Summit Hill; and Sandra Miller and her husband, George, Oakmont Acres; grandchildren, Stacie Bauer and her husband, Donald, VA; and Heather Miller, Oakmont Acres; great-grandchildren, Addison and Victoria Bauer; brothers, Louis Gerrone and his wife Violet, Hazleton, and Pat Gerrone and his wife Elora and Angelo Gerrone, all of Avon Lake, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: Funeral 10: 30 a.m. Monday at Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in Most Precious Blood Church. Burial will be in Most Precious Blood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-7 p.m.
