Helen (Yurkanin) Mezalick, 87, of Conshohocken, and for­merly of Tresckow, died on Wednesday at her home in Conshohocken, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sugarloaf on Sept. 1, 1920, she was one of 15 chil­dren of the late George and Gustina (Gonda) Yurkanin. She lived in Conshohocken since 1951.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Conshohocken, where she was a member of the former Moth­er’s Guild and volunteered as a librarian with the former St.
Mary’s School.
A homemaker for most of her life, she then worked with Walden Books of Plymouth Meeting and B. Dalton of King of Prussia.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Louis B. Mezalick; brothers, John, George, Joseph, Frank, Michael, Patrick and August Yurkanin; and sisters, Mary Barnosky, Dorothy Elko and Catherine Corra.
Surviving are daughters, Patricia Broderick and her hus­band, Robert, Blue Bell; and Mary Ellen Pierson and her husband, Bill, Check, Va.; sons, Michael Mezalick and his wife, Nidia, Philadelphia; and Gerald Mezalick and his wife Cheryl, Spring City; brothers, Andrew Yurkanin and his wife, Jane, Mountain Top; and Thomas Yurkanin and his wife, Jane, Levittown; sisters, Irene Lazarsky, Sugarloaf; and Anna Mae Yurkanin, Jeffersonville; six grandchildren and two great­grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be cel­ebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m.
from the St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Elm and Maple streets, Conshohocken, with Monsign­or Robert J. Grudowski officiating.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St.
Mary’s R.C. Church, 140 W. Hector St. (Rectory), Con­shohocken, PA 19428.
Arrangements are by Moore and Snear Funeral Home of Conshohocken and East Norri­ton.
