BROWN, Wilbur L.
Age 70, of Berwick Turnpike, Bentley Creek, PA, passed away with his loving wife by his side on Sunday, September 21, 2008, at home. Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc., 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Funeral and committal services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, September 25, 2008, at the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church, 13255 Berwick Turnpike, Gillett, PA, with Pastor Rob Wuethrich and Pastor Harry Barrigar officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Middlebury Center Cemetery. Wilbur was born May 14, 1938, son of the late Wilbur F. and Clara I. Guy Brown. He was a graduate of Mansfield High School and following graduation enlisted with the United States Marine Corps. He served with honor from 1956 to 1958. Wilbur married the former Patricia A. Thall on August 25, 1962. He was a thirty year member of the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church, where he served as Treasurer for eighteen years, member of the Bentley Creek Watershed Group. His other interests included bowling, fishing and hunting. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and his community. Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Brown of Bentley Creek; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Linda Brown of Panama City, FL, Mark and Kay Brown of Horseheads; his loving grandchildren who he adored, Lorna and Ian Brown; brother and sister-in-law, James and Michelle Brown of Middlebury Center, PA; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Dan Harmon of Spencer, NY; best friends, Dick and Linda Janowsky of Bentley Creek, PA.
