Man Is Found Dead In Waverly Hotel
Is Asphyxiated By Gas From Open Jet.

Waverly, Dec. 17.

With a gas jet open in his room in the Fulton house, J. T. (sic) Harrington, aged about 50 years, of Dushore, Pa., was found dead this morning at 11 o'clock.

Harrington registered at the Fulton house yesterday, retired last evening at 11 o'clock and when nothing was seen or heard of him until just before noon today, investigation was made, which resulted in finding his lifeless body.

Coroner Betowski took charge of the case.

Papers in the man's suitcase identified him. He had told the clerk that he was on his way to Lestershire on business.

Harrington had not been drinking and it is not thought that he committed suicide. The most credited theory is that he blew out the gas in some way and perhaps did not notice the escaping gas until overcome.
