I'm a descendant of Richard's son Moses (b. 1753) and wife Elisabeth (unknown surname) via his daughter Sidney, b. 1787, d. 6/24/1860.
Kirkpatrick Association's PA-6 states: "Isaac K. Of Cumberland (Perry) Co., PA and his descendants in PA, OH, and (De Kalb & Warren Cos.) IL. Family tradition relates that bros, Isaac & Richard, and sis, Mary, came from near Belfast, Ireland, ca 1730, and settled in a part of Lancaster Co., PA that later became Cumberland Co., PA. Nothing further is known of Richard and Mary. Isaac had three known sons: Isaac, Thomas & Richard. Richard was born in Ulster, ca 1714, he married Ann Mercer and died in Cumberland Co., PA, 1775. WBCAFN -- Mercer, Hayes, Graham, Smiley"
I have Richard born 1714, d. 1775, based on research done by a cousin for her DAR application. Richard and Ann's granddaughter & Moses and Elisabeth's daughter Sidney, married Alexander Rodgers April 23, 1807 and they had 10 children.
Daughter Sidney Rodgers was born June 24, 1820 and married William H. Colestock March 6, 1845.
Son Alexander Ramsey Colestock was born May 24, 1851. "Ramsey" settled in Duncannon and married Harriet Elizabeth McElwee July 17, 1872.
Son Edward Ramsey Colestock was born Oct 8, 1875 and served in the Spanish American War, after which he married Bertha Irene Baker on Aug 27, 1900. By 1910, they were living in Harrisburg.
On June 4, 1912, son Edward Jr. was born. He married Ellen Jane Minnier on Aug 21, 1933.
My grandfather, Edward Ramsey Colestock III was born June 10, 1939. (There was a male child born prior to him, but he was not named after his father, as my great grandmother was mad at my great-grandfather when their first child, a son "Skip"/(Horace Homer) was born. Also, there is an Edward Ramsey IV, born to my great-Aunt Kathy.)
3 of Edward Ramsey Jr's 7 children, including my grandfather and two of my great-aunts are still living, all residing in Perry County. (Grandchildren, etc. are not all in Perry County.)
