Fifteen years later, doubt I'll get a reply. (LOL) Regarding John Henry 1759-1841, can you cite this 'name change to "McHenry"? I keep seeing this phrase being anecdotally spread, but have yet to verify that this is true. There is a John McHenry 1760-1839 died in Adams Co. OH, but as far as I can tell, he is not the John Henry father of Christian Henry, Perry Co, PA. His Rev War pension just states "Henry". Just wondering if the "Mc" was really added, or people think the fancy H is "Mc"? thanks.
