Classification: Query
Surnames: HOMITZ, HOMSKI, Hoinskie
No . . . the name HOMITZ did not pop up in the three ethnic Catholic Cemeteries in Coal Township, Northumberland county Pa. IF they were polish, and they lived in the Shamokin Coal township area -- they would have been buried in St Stanislaus Cemetery in Coal township where there are 5 catholic cemetery located directly adjacent to each other.

The only entry that came close was a George & Bertha HOMSKI as noted on the large tombstone for the family in St Stans.
This was George Homski 1884-1943, his wife BERTHA 1889-1972
and son Stanislaw 1919-1933. HOWEVER, the family used different spellings.

In the 1930 census, they were on Wabash St in Coal Township.
George was 47 in 1930 and married at age 26, BORN in Poland.
Bertha was age 39 in 1930, was married at 18, she too was born in Poland. In 1930 they had NINE children at home.
Cathern, Verna, Mary, Regina, Alise, Stanley, Alexander, Edward and Johnny.
