I am hoping if you have any date on this BOWMAN family you could please share it with me it had been a big wall for several years and I am so excited to find this much.

From the deed in Northumberland CO

A Samuel BOWMAN son of John BOWMAN paid off debts he had due it gives his residense as Beech Creek CLINTON CO PA.
See below.
I also have his fathers John BOWMANof Upper Mahanoy and grandfathers Will Jacob BOWMAN's Will of Upper Mahanoy.

Sameul BOWMAN born and rasied in Lower Mananoy Dalmatia area and in the 1850 census he is with a wife Elizabeth I suspect it is his second wife?.

Because a court orphan document of 1854 says Samuel and Sarah gives Eben BASTIAN Guardianship of children Sam'L, Sarah, Elias and Benneville.
Eben BASTIAN married a Mary Ann BOWMAN she was born in 1833 and married in 1852.

I have not found a Sarah BOWMAN??????

I find an Elizabeth married to Samuel with the children still with them of Sarah , Samuel and Elias and younger children Cyrus ,Joel , Lousia. 1850

Since the Court document does not name the other children Cyrus, Joel and Louisa it makes me wonder if they were children to a second wife????

I know people spilt up even in those days .
I have a divorce in the same generation in the August Helt / Hester Raker family.
Later one of their children married one of Eben's Bostians children.

Then I find Elias BOWMAN in a FEARON home in Clinton CO in 1860.
I never do find Sam'l BOWMAN or his son Samuel or Eliza and Joel, Cryus and Louisa in 1860
and I looked in Ohio also some people think they all moved to Ohio.

Civil war records has 3 BOWMAN's from that area.
Centre and Clinton CO's PA.

Samuel Bowman 45 years old he survives the war.
And his grave with out a birth or death date is in Beech Creek Clinton CO his has his Civil war record on the tomb stone and I found that civil war card on a web site for civil war.

He was 45 when he inlisted.

Then in the 1870 census Samuel BOWMAN with Eliza and Joel and Louisa show up again in Beech Creek Clinton CO and Cyrus is living across the border In Centre CO .

Joel and Cyrus are still there in 1880 and Cyrus lives to be very old after 1930.

According to the 1840 census in Northumberland CO he must of married around 1830?
And he had two unknown sons between 1830-1840 and one other daughter.

And I do think Sarah was his first wife and Elizabeth was his second wife??
