Blaine Roberts, 77, former road supervisor and school director, died at 8:35 AM Friday, Jan. 13, 1967, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
He was born Dec. 22, 1889, near Pine Bank to the late William and Mary Hennen Roberts. He was married Dec. 25, 1915 to the former Sarah Cole who survives.
Also surviving are eight sons, Ewing, John Sherman, Lawrence W. and John Franklin, all of Beaver; James L. of Blacksville, WV, Blaine Jr. and Roy Allen, both of Rochester and Robert B. of Burgettstown; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Houser of Pine Bank Earl “Ruth Ann” Masters of Waynesburg and Mrs. Scott “Sylvia” Kent of Beaver; 26 grand children; two great-granddaughters and two brothers, Sherman and Harry, both of Waynesburg.
A son William, three brothers and a sister are all deceased.
For over 30 years, he was employed as a rural mail carrier but his last employer was Westinghouse. He had served the area as a road supervisor and a school director and was a former member of the Pine Bank Knights of Pythias.
He was a life-long resident of the area and a member of the Pine Bank Methodist Church.

Friends of Blaine Roberts of Pine Bank who died Friday, Jan. 13, 1967, are being received after 7 PM Saturday in the Robert L. Lantz Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday in the Pine Bank Methodist Church with Rev. William H. Hiles in charge. Burial in Pine Bank Cemetery.

50th Anniversary to be observed Dec. 27.
Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Roberts, of Pine Bank, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Dec. 27, with a dinner at the Elks Club. They will hold open house in their home from 3-9 PM for friends, relatives and neighbors. Blaine Roberts, of Waynesburg, and Dossie Cole were married on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1914, by Rev. Sutton in the parsonage at Jollytown. They are the parents of 12 sons and daughters Ewing, John S., John F. and Sylvia, wife of J. Scott Kent, all of Beaver; Lawrence, Roy A. and Evelyn, wife of Charles S. Houser, all of Pine Bank; James L., of Blacksville, WV; Robert, of Florence; Blaine Jr., of Rochester, and Ruth Ann, wife of Earl V. Masters, of Waynesburg. One son, Donovan is deceased. They have 25 grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts have resided at Pine Bank all of their married life. Mr. Roberts is a retired rural mile carrier also retired from Westinghouse Corporation, Beaver. Mrs. Roberts is a member of the Pine Bank Methodist Church and of the WSCS of the church.
