Obit, Kittanning Leader Times May 13, 1964: Mrs. Naomi Floy Bowersox of 607 Washington St., New Bethlehem died at 2 p.m. Tuesday (May 12, 1964) in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was aged 66 years, having been born July 3, 1897 in Curllsville, the daughter of J. E. and Jennie (Hartman) Shook. Mrs. Bowersox was a member of the Leatherwood Presbyterian Church. She was married Sept. 17, 1918 to Blaine Bowersox who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Dean and Merle, both of New Bethlehem; four daughters, Mrs. Laird (Viola) Shumaker of Oil City, Mrs. John (Grace) Milliron of Leechburgh, Mrs. Atney (Ruth) Dickerson of Charleroi and Mrs. James (Lois) Stewart of State College; 13 grandchildren: her father, J. E. Shook of Sligo RD 1. Three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Howard of North East, Mrs. Sarah Harriger of Sligo RD 1 and Mrs. Blanche Wyant of Coraopolis and six brothers, Ray Shook of Curllsville, Milford Shook of Reidsburg, Dale Shook of Sligo RD 1, Rev. Charles Shook of Mansfield, Ohio, Ernest Shook of Meadville and Kenneth Shook of Sligo RD 1.
