Marva Louise Young, 68, died at 11:05 p.m. Feb. 7, 2009, at Heartland Hospice-IPU, Conyers, Ga.
She was born March 23, 1940, in Grover Hill to Arthur and Anna Bass Phillips Sr., who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Young had worked at Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant for more than 20 years. She had been a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
She was a member of United Auto Workers uNION Local 1219.
Survivors include three sons, Vaughn M. (Katina) Phillips, of Lima, Vince E. Terry, of Cambridge City, IndIANA, and Aaron D. Young, of Atlanta; a godchild, Corbin; six grandchildren, Nathaniel, Dominic, Marcus, JeVaughn, Qvonte and Christian; two brothers, Arthur (Clemmie) Phillips Jr., and James (Gertrude) Phillips, both of Lima; and three sisters, Roseanne M. Dent and Marlyn F. Miles, both of Lima, and Mary I. Middlebrook, of Mansfield, Oh.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Irvin W. Herbert Sr. and Alvin E. Phillips; and three sisters, Thelma Mines, Juanita Greenwade and Pauline Young.
Services will begin at noon Thursday at Jones-Clark Funeral Home. The Rev. Meryl Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in Little Middle Creek Cemetery, Paulding County.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
