James Irvin Boney, 79, of Caldwell, Ohio, Route 5 died at 9:38 p.m. Monday (25 May 1964) at his home after a long illness.
He was born September 21, 1884 at Ritchey County, West Virginia, a son of Jacob and Arminda Pyles Boney.
Mr. Boney was a member of Bell Methodist church and Sharon Lodge 136 F&AM
Surviving are his widow, Lucinda Linton Boney; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Tilton of Lowell, Ohio, Mrs. Evelyn DeLancey of Caldwell Route 3, Mrs. Nellie Nichols of Caldwell Route 2 and Mrs. Joann VanFossen of Marietta, Ohio, Route 6; two sons, John W. Boney and Robert W. Boney, both of Caldwell, Route 3; a sister, Mrs. Mareeda Willey of Caldwell, Route 3; two brothers, John Boney of Caldwell, Route 6 and Stanton Boney of Sweetwater, Texas; 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at McVay Funeral home here with Rev. Ola Teeters officiating.
Burial will be in Sharon cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Masonic rites will be held at 8 p.m. today.
