Opal M Sarbaugh, 70 of 8190 East Street Adamsville died at 10:42 pm
Wednesday 15 April, 1987 at the home of her daughter in Dresden following
two years of illness. She was a retiree from Custom Coil where she worked
for 25 years. Mrs Sarbaugh was born 26 November, 1916 in Adams Township a
daughter of Oliver and Iva McVicker Matchett. She was a member of Adamsville
United Methodist Church, Adamsville WSCS and was past Matron of Frank
Ransbottom Chapter OES 473 at Adamsville. Mrs Sarbaugh was an avid bowler.
Surviving are her husband Clair Sarbaugh, whom she married 1 June, 1940, a
daughter Mrs Gary (Wanda) Longaberger of Dresden; two grandchildren Leigh
Ann Longaberger of Dresden and Brad Longaberger of Newark. four brothers
Dale Matchett of Adamsville; Francis Matchett of Riverside, California, Gene
of Newark and David Matchett of Coshocton; five sisters Louise McVicker of
Adamsville, Mrs Joe (Bernice) Wagner of Chandlersville, June Conkle of
Coshocton, Mrs James (Clarice) Ames of Coshocton and Mrs Jack (Maureen)
Allen of Coshocton. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 pm today at Vensil-Orr
Funeral Home in Adamsville. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday
18 April at Adamsville United Methodist Church with the Rev Robert
Williamson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
