County Dies in Colorado - Leaves
Widow and Five Children
A telegram has been received by Mrs. George Lawrence announcing the death of her brother Frank Merriam of Canon City, Colorado. His death was due to pneumonia of which he had been ill for several weeks. Mr. Merriam was formerly a resident of Washington Township but for the last ten years has lived at Canon City where he leaves a widow and five small children to mourn the loss of a kind loving husband and father. Mr. Merriam was 38 years of age and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Merriam of Washington Township and has three sisters and six brothers living here. They are: Mrs. George Lawrence of the Adamsville Road, Mrs. James Wallwork of the Tenth Ward, Mrs. C. F. White of Gilbert, William, John, Hugh, Arbe, Edward and Charles Merriam of Washington Township. The deceased was a kind-hearted Christian man and was generally respected. His many friends will be pained to learn of his death and will sympathize with the bereaved ones in the two homes that are saddened. Interment will be made at Canon City.
