MRS. WHEELER DIES AT AGE 77
Mrs. Blanche A. Wheeler, 77, of Stovertown, mother of County Treasurer Wilbur H. Wheeler, died unexpectedly at 7:15 pm Tuesday at her home following an apparent heart attack. She had been in ill health for some time but death was unexpected.
Mrs. Wheeler was born Feb 6, 1884, in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late George and Mary Ellen Matheney Smythe. She had lived in Stovertown since 1937, and resided for 23 years prior to that time at Sugar Grove near Chandlersville.
Mrs. Wheeler was a member of the Sugar Grove Methodist Church and Stovertown Grange.
Surviving are her husband, Howard E. Wheeler of the home; four sons, George W. Wheeler of Canton, Wilber of Duncan Falls, Clyde R. Wheeler of Phoenix, Ariz., and Clinton L. Wheeler of Stovertown; a brother, C. L. Smythe of Route 4; a sister, Marie Roshon of Baltimore; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The body was taken to Clyde E. Thompson Funeral Home at Duncan Falls where friends may call after 7 pm Wednesday. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 pm Friday with the Rev. W. Paul Mustard and Rev. B. C. Kreis officiating. Burial will be in Chandlersville Cemetery.
