Dennis R. Featheringham, age 70, of Bellville, Ohio (Richland County) passed away Thursday afternoon, January 3, 2013 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a long illness.

He was born February 26, 1942 in Amsterdam, Ohio (Jefferson County, Ohio) the son of Robert and Mae (Yingling) Featheringham.

Moving to Bellville, Ohio in the late 1960's, Dennis owned Feathers Indian Jewelry in Bellville, Ohio.
He also worked at Merrilat Cabinet Makers in Loudonville, Ohio retiring in 2002.

On July 17, 1995 he married Jeanie McCormick with whom he celebrated 17 years of marriage.

Dennis was a talented silversmith, creating jewelry that he sold in his shop and at local fairs and festivals.
He enjoyed photography, taking photos of his family.
One of his favorite pastimes was sitting on the couch every Sunday watching and griping about the Cleveland Browns.

He was also a former member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Mansfield, Ohio.

Dennis is survived by his wife Jeanie Featheringham of Bellville, Ohio, three children Dennis S. Featheringham, Amy S. Featheringham, and Teryl W. (Bonnie) Featheringham all of Bellville; a step-daughter Lisa Knuckles of Mansfield, Ohio, a step-daughter-in-law Brandy Allen of Johnsville; grandchildren Dylan Featheringham of Lexington, Ohio, Nic Featheringham of Bellville, Autumn, MacKenzie and Eden Allen all of Johnsville, Hunter Knuckles and Leify Pry, one great grandchild Konnor Featheringham; a sister Kristel Monigold of Amsterdam, Ohio and Rusty Thurston and family in Magnolia, along with nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son John Allen in 2012.

Friends may call Monday, January 7, 2013 from 6-7 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where the memorial service will follow at 7 pm. Pastor Bill Lewis will officiate.
A committal service will be held in Bellville Cemetery at a later date.
