KING — Mrs. Ruby Mabe Lawson, 90, widow of the late Lehmon Lawson, of King, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
She was born on June 22, 1922, in Stokes County to the late Jack and Mauda Mabe.
Mrs. Lawson was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Lawson is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Phillip Lester of Pinnacle; one granddaughter, Carolyn Byrd; one great-grandson, Cody Edwards; and one sister, Elsie Shelton of Danbury.
Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one sister, Azalee Cook.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Cox-Needham Chapel with Pastor Randy Cook officiating. Interment will follow at King Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
