GERMANTON Wilma Louise Mabe McGee June 1, 1937 - Feb. 10, 2013
Wilma Louise Mabe McGee, 75, died Sunday morning, February 10, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
She was born June 1, 1937 in Stokes County to Paul and Vannie Bennett Mabe.
Louise loved people and she also loved bird watching. She was a homemaker and a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. A 2:00 p.m. funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Burroughs Chapel with Rev. Bobby Roberson and Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow at Danbury Cemetery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Martin D. Covington and second husband, Hal McGee; one sister, Alice Thornton and brother, Dave Mabe.
She is survived by two children, Lisa Hoots and husband David of Germanton and Dave Covington and wife Annette of King; three grandchildren, Christian Covington and wife Candice, Matthew Covington; Jacob Covington; one sister, Ann Mabe of Danbury and one brother, Elwood Mabe of Walnut Cove.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Burroughs Funeral Home and other times at her home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B.
