The only Soloman (with a) Ruark I have found is buried in New Bern, NC and no relationship with others is known:

Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Bern, NC - the oldest cemetery in the city - back to 1800's -

John Henry Ruark b. 1838 died age 83 died 10-12-1896

Mrs. E. Ruark, age 75 died 10-19-1896 (thus b. 1821)

Soloman (with a) Ruark - no dates given

These are all buried in Lot E 6A.

The person who sent the information didn't give dates for Soloman.
And I am not sure Mrs. E. Ruark is wife of John Henry because in the US 1880 Census we find :
wife of John Henry Ruark as:
born different year and much younger
plus children David - son
and Fannie - daughter - no other children given.
living in Richmond County, NC - his is shown as blacksmith.

Hope this helps someone - perhaps a person could receive more info from the cemetery records in New Bern, NC

Since this is not my family - I am not researching this end of the Ruarks. John Henry Ruark was brother to my husband's grandmother Mary CAtherine Ruark, they were children of Hanson Kelly Ruark, Sr. of Southport, NC who is shown as retired river pilot in the 1880 US Census, and still living in Southport,NC. He died in 1888.
