A1/C Charles D. Griffith

A1/C Charles D. Griffith, 22, son of Theodore and Martha Dawson Griffith, of Coatesville RD 2, was killed Saturday in an automobile accident at Pope Air Force Base, Fayetteville, N.C.

Born in West Chester, he attended Gordon Junior High School and Scott High School. Before entering the service, he had been employed at Vernon Stump's Service Station, Caln.

Surviving besides his parents are five brothers, Theodore, Jr., of Parkesburg RD 1, Robert and Philip Lee, both of Coatesville, Thomas and William, at home, and a sister, Gladys, at home.

GRIFFITH- Of Coatesville, RD 2, on Saturday, September 7, 1963, Airman 1/C Charles D. Griffith, aged 22 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from Archie Maclean's Funeral Home, 5th ave. and Lincoln Hwy., Coatesville, Pa., on Friday, September 13th, at 3 p.m. Interment Fairview Cemetery. At the request of the family there will be no viewing.
