(1813-1876) who married Agline Sigmon; Lena who married John Smith; and Annie (1818-1907) who married Ely Sigmon.

John had as his second wife, Catherine Bolick Simon who was the widow of Samuel Simon. They had the following children: Harriet Louisa, Susannah and Lovina.

John raised his family on a farm on Lyles Creek near what is now called the "County Home Road" in Conover, Catawba County, North Carolina.
