Unfortunately, I do not live near NC. I'm on the Gulf Coast. Your suggestions will be very helpful in my research.
Yes, I have been in contact with Emma Toliver. She was the person who told me that Jesse & Louisa couldn't have children. The name Susan Hash came from a conversation she had with Theresa Blevins Crouse prior to her death. Emma was quite surprised to learn that my Great-Grandmother, Mary Ellen Toliver, had no idea that she may have been adopted. I recently shared some of our family information with Emma, and she's trying to help me with my research as well. I'm very thankful for her Toliver Family website. She certainly put together an amazing site with a wealth of information on the Toliver Ancestry.
As you can see, this is a fairly new ancestry journey for me.
Have you read the book on the Moxley,Toliver, Blevins and related families by Leorne Moxley Sturgill? I noticed that it was listed as a resource link.
Thanks again for your reply to my post. Your insight is sincerely appreciated.
