There is a Barbara BOON buried at the Saint Pauls Lutheran Church Cemetery, born 10 October 1778, died 10 July 1833.

Also buried at Saint Pauls is John BOON born 14 September 1780, died 11 April 1851. I do not think this is Barbara's husband. This John BOON can also be found on the 1850 census Alamance Co., NC, South District, Page 33B, a farmer aged 70 years, and Mary BOON age 68.

Also buried at Saint Pauls is John BOON born 5 December 1773, died 14 March 1848. The tombstone is of the same style and markings as that of Barbara BOON. I believe this would most likely be the husband of Barbara.

Go to this link and select to see the grave information:;

Note there is another John BOON on the 1850 Alamance County census. He appears in the North District on page 75B in the household of Isaac & Mary ADAMS. This is the John G. BOON known as "River John" born 2 August 1783 in Guilfod County, NC, to John "Joiner John" BOON and Anna STARNES. He married Elizabeth HUFFMAN bond dated 17 June 1811 Orange County, NC.

The information I have on the 1850 census can be found at my web site:

There are just too many John BOONS in this area of the same time period. Difficult to keep them all straight.
