AuSable Forks — Margaret Kelley, 93, formerly of Broad Street and the Neighborhood House at Keene Valley, died Friday, March 8, 2002, at the Moses-Ludington Nursing Home in Ticonderoga. She had been transferred there after being hospitalized because of a serious fall.
She was born on June 10, 1908, in AuSable Forks, the daughter of Harry and Anna (Cain) Charbonneau.
She attended AuSable Forks Central Rural School. For several years, she was employed at the J&J Rogers Paper Mill in AuSable Forks. She was also employed for a short period of time in the food service department of the AuSable Forks Central Rural School. She was a faithful member of the Holy Name Catholic Church, AuSable Forks.
She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Fay Spring of Ticonderoga; caring neighbors, Robert and Jean Mousseau of AuSable Forks; and several nieces and nephews.
Those that predeceased her are her husband, James Kelley who died Sept. 9, 1958; and three sisters, Viola Gorman, Martha Falcon and Frances Oree.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2002, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Zaumetzer - Sprague Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held the same day following the calling hours at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Philip Allen officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, AuSable Forks.
