In 1947 Mae Shaw Clark bought the house at 19 Gibson Ave, Hudson Falls. She apparently resided at 77 Maple St, Hudson Falls then.
According to the city directories, Mae has living with her James I Clark, with wife Irene; Leslie Clark in the Navy; and Thomas Clark, who is employed at General Electric.
By 1950 Mae is working at the Hudson Falls Manufacturing Co; James and Thomas are working at General Electric and Leslie's still in the Navy. By 1954 Kenneth Clark, employed in Troy, is at the house. By 1962, James, Kenneth; Leslie and Thomas have all left the Gibson Ave house.
Mae Shaw Clark continues on at 19 Gibson Ave and is still there in 1975.
Mae Shaw was the sister of Fred J Shaw of Fort Edward; Fred lived on Mechanic St and worked at Scott Paper.
Only once, in the 1920 census does Mae appear to be with her husband Edward Clark---after that he seems to disappear.
I have found an Edward Clark inter in Union Cemetery dying in 1946 at 56 yrs. There are 9 other Clarks inter in the same plot with Edward--none being Mae Shaw--who was still alive in 1980 when her brother, Fred Shaw died at Argyle. May was 88 in 1980.
If anyone has any knowledge about these named Clarks, and their lives, I'd certainly appreciate insight to these folks.
