My Salisbury and Whitaker lines in Ulster County have connections to the families listed in the surname list. They lived mostly in Kingston, Saugerties and Glasco, but in the late 1800s some branches moved south to Brooklyn, Manhattan and New Jersey. I have varying amounts of information on these families and would like to connect with anyone researching them. I'm particularly interested in the below families.

Thanks. Berta Dempster

Staats SALISBURY, 1808-1854
married Anna Elizabeth WHITAKER, 1818-1878
Their children:
Helen Catherine, 1836-1906
John Edward, 1846-1911
William P. 1851-1930 (my gggrandfather)

Helen SALISBURY married William FELTER

John Edward SALISBURY married Margaret PLASS and had 15 children, including Mary (1881), Stanton (1883), Minerva (1885), Howard (1887), Elting (1889), Helen (1892), Marguerite (1894), Edward (1896), LeRoy (1897), Robert (1898), and Howard (1900). This family moved to Brooklyn at some point.

William P. SALISBURY married Melissa Jane WHITAKER and had 6 children: Edna (1875), Wessel Bevere (1877)[my ggrandfather], Charles Vedder (1880), Helen C. "Nellie" (1883), William (1886), and Stephen (1894).
