Hoping to find answers on my JONES line ?
According to my maternal gg-grandfather Spencer (Squire) Jones death record and Civil War records his Father was Hosea Jones . The only info I've found on a Hosea Jones in that time period are ;
In the 1850 Olive , Ulster Co. NY census there was a Hosea Jones 45 living with the family of John D. Osborn .

At the Ulster County Poorhouse web site I found these mentions for a Hosea Jones ;

JONES, Hosea , died July 14 1877 , age 70 , admitted-destitute , Olive , USA .

Admission Records
Name, Hosea Jones
Age, 69
Admitted, 12-3-1875
Cause of dependence, old age & unable to get work & ruptured .
Discharged or Died, Died July 14 1877 at 12:30 by his rupture .
Marital status, widowed
Birthplace, New York City
Remarks, here twice before
Children, 5
Occupation of Father, boatman

From Spencers Civil War Pension records I know that he had a brother William who was dead by the late 1890's , and there is a William Jones, age 30, living with Spencer & family in 1860 Marbletown census .

At I found;
William Jones , Co. G. 80th Inf. Regt. NY .
Enlisted , Oct. 19 1861, age 35
Died, June 28 1862
Is this William the brother of Spencer ? Spencer was also in the 80th .

In the 1870 Olive and 1880 Shandaken censuses a Thomas and Nellie Jones have a son Spencer . Is this Thomas a brother to my Spencer ? He is the right age to be .

My Spencer Jones had a son Andrew born about 1867 . In the 1900 Shandaken census there is a Andrew Jones 30, Mary 31, Addison 6, Lottie listed right above Thomas Jones 62, Nellie 60, Spencer 36 . Is this Andrew the son of my Spencer Jones ?

And finally , in the 1870 Marbletown census Spencer has a daughter Anna D. age 2 months , then in 1880 census he has a daughter Charity age 10. Are Anna and Charity the same person or did Anna die ?
The only Charity I've been able to find close to the right age is married to a Henry North in Rosendale in 1900 census . Per the 1870 and 1880 Marbletown censuses I believe Henry is the son of David and Lucinda North . By the 1920 census Henry C. and Charity North and children are living in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County .

If anyone is connected to any of the Jones and North families mentioned and can help , I would any appreciate input ?
