Dead in His Home

Peter Gilcher, 74, native of Germany and resident of the north side 54 years, died suddenly at 8.40 o'clock last night at his home, 206 South Alvord street. He had been in ill health recently, but was about the house last night when he was seized with a heart attack. He was a retired carpenter.

Mr. Gilcher was a member of Salt Springs Lodge 520, F. & A. M.; a past noble grand [sic] of Lincoln Lodge 180, I.O.O.F.; and a member of Lincoln encampment and St. John's Lutheran church.

Surviving are three sons, Otto J., Arthur A. and Herbert T. Gilcher; four daughters, Mrs. Fred Schultz, Miss Elma L. Gilcher, Mrs. Lester Walters and Miss Emma J. Gilcher; two grandchildren, two brothers, Adolph and Julius Gilcher; and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Schneider.

The funeral will be at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Traugott's undertaking rooms. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
