Re George Green, there is this:, which places George A Greene the barber, wife Mable M, same age (38, both born NY) and daughter Dorothy age 8, also born NY, in the 1910 census of Ophir, Butte, California.
Then, checking the 1905 NY state census one finds:
Name: Dorothy Green
Residence Place: Rochester, Monroe, New York
Age: 3
Birth Year (Estimated): 1902
Birthplace: United States
Relationship to Head of Household: Daughter
Race: W
Family Number: 980
Reference ID: 45
GS Film number: 833788
Digital Folder Number: 4296262
Image Number: 00251
Household Gender Age Birthplace
Head George A Green M 34y United States
Wife Mable Green F 35y United States
Daughter Dorothy Green F 3y United States ,
and George is a barber. You can check the Rochester city directories for free at the Rochester library's web site; the marriage of George and Mabel/Mable is not in the online city marriages (which are well known to have many omissions). He is in the 1892 census of Rochester with a (brother?) Will, two years younger, and in 1880, there are 2 George Greens of the right age, one in an Orphan Asylum, and one with a mother Gertrud, a widow. This is not likely to be your George.

The 1875 census of Rochester shows:
Name: George Green
Titles and Terms:
Event Type: Census
Event Date: 1875
Event Place: E.D. 1, Ward 8, Rochester, Monroe, New York, United States
Gender: Male
Age: 4
Relationship to Head of Household: Son
Birth Year (Estimated): 1871
Family Number: 829
Page: 87
Line Number: 30
GS Film number: 833779
Digital Folder Number: 004327109
Image Number: 00442
Household Gender Age Birthplace
Self James Green M 36
Wife Margaret E Green F 35
Daughter Minnie Green F 12
Daughter Frank Green F 10
Daughter Anna Green F 7
Son George Green M 4
Son Willie Green M 2

Since the 1892 census shows George and Will Green two years apart this could be them.

The city directories given above also have dates of death, and the library has extracts of who moved away:
Names from City Directories, 1876-1889 (pdf) -- This 21,199 name index was created from the Rochester city directories of 1876-1889 inclusive. These directories contain the year, names, the (USA style M/D/Y) date of the event, age if given, and notation (e.g. - removed to, or married) exactly as they appeared in the directories.

Hope that this helps.
