Jamestown Post Journal: 2/5/1987: Louis H. Anderson, 79, of 2419 Keller Road, Ashville, died at 2:56 p.m. Wednesday, (Feb. 4, 1987) in his home. A lifelong area resident, he was born Oct. 31, 1907, in Jamestown, a son of Luther H. and Hannah C. Berggren Anderson. Anderson was employed by Jamestown Metal Corp., for 33 years before his retirement in 1977. He was a fisherman, hunter and skeet shooter; a former member of Falconer Rod and Gun Club, of which he was a past president; and a member of International Association of Machinists, Lodge 1558. Surviving are two sons: Theodore Anderson of Farson, Wyo., and Gary Anderson of Vukote, with whom he made his home; a granddaughter, Stephanie Anderson of Farson; a brother, Herbert L. Anderson of Bemus Point; and two sisters: Florence E. Allison of Jamestown and Millie E. Anderson of Bemus Point. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Larson Anderson, Dec. 31, 1977; a brother, Gilbert Anderson; and a sister, Genevieve O'Block. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer, pastor of Fluvanna Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 Friday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
