Isadore Marvin was born in Tioga county, Pennsylvania, November 20, 1846. At the age of twenty she married Luke folts of Ashford, Cattaraugus county, New York. Two years were spent in Pennsylvania then Mr. and Mrs. Folts came to Ashford where they made their permanent home. To this union were born: Mrs. Mary Folts Strong (deceased), Albert L. folts of Riceville, Mrs. Rose Folts Colf (deceased), Mrs. Carrie Folts Clemons of Tulsa, Oklahoma, William Folts of Ashford, also two who died in infancy.
Mrs. Folts became actively a member of the Ashford Free Methodist Church soon after coming to Ashford. Mr. Folts died in 1916. Since the death of her husband Mrs. Folts has made her home with her son Albert in Riceville.
Of a friendly, cheerful, Christian character she made many friends who greatly miss her comradeship.
In February she suffered a slight shock from which she did not recover, passing away on March 22, 1933. Funeral services were held at the home of Albert Folts, Riceville at 1:30 Saturday afternoon in charge of Rev. Cook, pastor of the Brooklyn Free Methodist Church; Rev. Mann of Machias gave the prayer. Interment was made in the Bellows Corners Cemetary.
