sincerely doubt it. back in the day - - - now genealogy is big business and the same address is for archival records or sally smith who needs a copy of her ten yr old license for her divorce. now if sally goes to the court house in the city she wed in, no prob. meanwhile, everybody else is sending to albany. i have ordered a lot of records-usually 4-6 wks if! i know where event happened. been waiting 10 mo for reply on a 1898 marrige in phoenix, oswego co cuz in 1915 some fool let the courthouse burn. didnt they know we were going to need! those records?prob w cat co-every plsce i look clsims they dont have any records there, u must send to albany. sounds more like they dont have staff/funds/patience to look for them in cat, but maybe they burned too. however, play around on this site and email these courthouses and see if they will look up her death cert. usually abt 25$. s://
no refunds if they dont find it, or u ask in one town and she died in another. also, no refund if the informant didnt have the info and u/k is on the line for parents. its iffy.
contact email Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System - and ask who you could ask to do an obit look up - those dates of papers may have been lost tho, as i couldnt find a thing. good luck and dont give up. and use you dna to guide you toward possible families-took me 15 yrs, but dna match just found 2 relatives born 1899 and 1905 who were adopted out in 1912-a few new names, couple of newspaper articles-bingo, found them, new names and all.
