Middlesex Co. property deeds online--WOW!

Hi all,

In case I am not the absolutely last person to find out about this, Middlesex County has some of the actual property records online--I mean you can look at an image of the actual mortgages, deeds, etc. that were signed!

The site says they have content from only 1950 on. However, I found some earlier info for my ancestors.

And again, just in case I'm not the last one to realize this: these documents can provide an absolute wealth of information.

This is especially true when property transfers occur due to death or divorce. I gleaned a number of previously-unknown dates from the docs I've downloaded, not to mention the names of my ancestors' heirs.

Even the property descriptions can be pretty fascinating, as they sometimes give historical details of who originally bought the property "way back when", and from whom.

As Homer Simpson would say, "Woo Hoo!"

You can register if you will want "clean" copies, but it's not required. You can still view, print, and save the "watermarked" copies for free.

Happy Hunting!
