Richard Donald Bouse was born July 8, 1934, a son of the late John James and Maggie Belle (Sites) Bouse. Dick entered eternal rest from his home on Hwy. AA in Steelville, Missouri Thursday, April 12, 2001, at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 4 days.

On February 23, 1963, Dick was united in marriage to Jane Wyatt at the Cuba United Methodist Church. Two sons, Donald Kirk Bouse and Michael Richard Bouse were added to this union. Dick and Jane have enjoyed over 38 years together.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by two brothers, William "Bill" Bouse and Luther George Bouse; one sister, Betty Jo Bouse and three brothers-in-law, Buster Hewkin, Jerry Winer, and Armin Ayers.

Dick served his country in the United States Army from March 1957 to January 1959. He retired from Brown Shoe Company where he was in equipment maintenance.

Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his devoted wife Jane Bouse of the home; two sons, Kirk Bouse and wife Linda of Steelville, Missouri and Mike Bouse and wife Paula of St. James, Missouri; five brothers, Chuck Bouse, Pete Bouse and Tom Bouse and wife Ruby, all of Cuba, Missouri; Ron Bouse and wife Joyce of Steelville, Missouri and Jack Bouse and wife Julie of St. James, Missouri; three sisters, Verna Ayers of Steelville, Missouri; Eileen Winer of Hope, Arkansas, and Vera Hewkin of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Bouse, Hallie Bouse and Mary and Lee Counts, all of Steelville, Missouri; one grandson, Drew Michael Bouse; four step-grandchildren, Ashley Watson, Reba Watson, Timothy Shoemaker and Aaron King; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Richard Donald Bouse lay in state 3-9 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2001, at the Britton Funeral Home Steelville, Missouri.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2001, in the Britton Chapel with Dr. Cardis Bryan officiating and Rev. Jim Stearns assisting. Musical selections were provided by pianist Joyce Bouse and vocalist Rick Bouse and Sandy and Jeff Wilson.

Committal prayers and interment were in Fairview Cemetery, Butts, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Brad Bouse, Brock Bouse, Jeff Bouse, Rick Bouse, Tommy Bouse and Randy Turnbough.

Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
