HUGO STRODTMAN - 65 years of age died Thursday morning on his farm north of Glasgow. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Evangelical Church at Glasgow. Burial was made in the Glasgow City Cemetery. Mr. Strodtman was born and spent his life in the vicinity of Glasgow. He lived in Saline county until six or eight years ago when he moved to the farm where death occurred. He was in usual good health Thursday morning and went to the barn to do his morning chores and after he had been gone a reasonable length of time a daughter went to look for him and found him dead in the corn crib. Death was due to a heart attack. Mr. Strodtman is survived by two sons, Henry Strodtman, of Marshall, George Strodtman of Elmwood, Kansas; six daughters, Nellie Van Steenburgh of Elmwood, Kansas, Alice, Angelina, Virginia, Agnes, and Maxine, all of the home, and one grandchild, Bobby Gene Van Steenburgh, also two sisters, Mrs. John Meyer of Gilliam and Mrs, Malinda Velten of Slater, one brother, Edwin Strodtman of Gilliam, also a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

[He is buried in the Gilliam Cemetery not the Glasgow City Cemetery as stated in his obituary. Also it is a bit unusual that no mention is made of a wife in the obituary. Does anyone know the name of his wife?]
