Hi there!

I haven't checked the boards for a while, so I just now saw your message! Thanks for the reply!!! I knew about Rebecca, but haven't heard about Nancy and Tabitha. The only census I've ever seen was the 1850 Cherokee County Census from Alabama and it showed Ester Jane, Walt (my great grandfather) Rebecca and a older Collins woman. I have never been able to trace back exactly who Ester Jane's father was. Micheal Tucker theorized that a Moses Whiteside was my great-grandfather's actual father. I talked to two of my now deceased, elderly cousins in Peidmont several years ago, and they both said that Walter, George and Doc all had different fathers, but that they were all upstanding men of the community! So, I guess Ester Jane never got married and the McFry name was carried on through her and no her children's fathers! Interesting, huh?!!! I just assumed that we were probably related to the George McFry of Abbeyville, SC of 1800 and 1810 SC census. Have you ever found any link previous to Ester Jane???
