George, I'm just grabbing at straws here...Is the following your Robert Edmond Lee?

Let me know if this is your line. It says Mulatto/Black...and someone made a change to white (but the census definately has a B in the color column. Orethea is listed as Mu (Mulatto). I'm guessing these both are freed slaves and may have mixed blood. Just a part of our country's early history.
