A careless researcher years ago neglected to notice actual DATES of marriage of these women. They saw census records with "Jane" but found a "Mary Ann" marriage or vice versa. They didn't notice their husbands birthdates either. I don't know any guy born in 1850 who would marry a woman born in 1806 or so.
Some files have "Jane Mary Ann" dying in 1850 but clearly have her marriage date as 1868. Neat trick.
Mary Ann is believed to be Jane's niece (the d of Jane's brother Isaac).
Jane has her dad with her in the 1850 in Indiana.
Mary Ann Reneau and John P. Edmodns had five children who are usually WRONGLY ATTRIBUTED TO THEM BUT ARE ACTUALLY THE CHILDREN OF Aaron Leander Reneau and his wife Mary Ann Reneau. You can find those kids with Mary A. Reneau in Jefferson in the 1880. They all join up with Aaron in Collin Co, TX in the 1900 and beyond.
Mary Ann Reneau and John Edmonds are on the 1880 with their own kids. See them all at:http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op...
