Olga Caroline Gooch of Washington, Missouri, was born on February 14, 1906 in Treloar, Missouri, daughter of the late Louis F. Hoelscher and Lena Charlotte Scharnhorst Hoelscher, and passed away on January 11, 1987 at the St. John's Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri, having reached the age of eighty years, ten months nd seventeen days. Olga attended the Holstein High School for two years, and when the family moved to New Haven, Mo., she attended New Haven High School, graduating in 1925.

On April 9, 1927, she was united in marriage to Richard Keith Gooch at Peoria, Illinois, and three children came to bless this union. Her husband preceded her in death and also one daughter in infancy.

Surviving are her son, K. Wendell Gooch and wife, Myra of McLean, Virginia, her daughter, Arlyne Roller and husband, Robert of St. Clair, two grandsons, Perrin Roller and wife, Desiree of Ventura, California, and Thomas Gooch of Dallas, Texas, four step-granddaughters of McClean, Virginia, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, husband and daughter, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arlie and Louis Hoelscher, by two sisters, Rosena Freitag and Emma Hoelscher, and one granddaughter, Margaret Gooch.

Olga was confirmed at Immanuel Evangelical Church in Holstein. She later transferred her membership to St. Peter's Church in New Haven and became a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in 1973. She was also a member of the New Haven Order of Eastern Star Chapter 379 where she had served as Past Matron and also organist for many years. She later transferred her membership to Washington O.E.S. Chapter 267. Olga enjoyed quilting and quilted regularly for the St. Peters U.C.C.

A kind and loving mother, grandmother, step-grandmother, aunt and cousin, a treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 1987 at the Russell Colonial Chapel, St. Clair, Mo., Reverend Gregory King officiating. Interment was in the New Haven City Cemetery.
