Paul Bartlett of Lonedell, was born June 11, 1915, at Springfield, son of the late Earl Bartlett and Lula Edgington Bartlett. On March 13, 1943, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Thelma Hartman and they were blessed with thirty-nine years of marriage. Paul departed this life on December 24, 1990, having reached the age of seventy-nine years, six months, and thirteen days.

He is survived by the many, many friends he made through the years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Bartlett on December 20, 1982.

Paul was of the Baptist Faith, having been saved at nine years of age and Baptized in a creek. His church membership was in the state of Montana, but he enjoyed the fellowship of attending Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lonedell. Paul was proud to have served his country in WW II in the US Army Air corps as a Staff Sergeant, receiving his discharge on November 20, 1943. As a youngster, he lived on a farm and worked with horses and other animals. He maintained his love of the outdoors throughout his life and worked as a traveling salesman, selling farm equipment, and later received the "Farmer of the Year" award for outstanding farm management and production. His special interest was raising P. O. A. horses.

A kind, loving, and generous friend, Paul will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.

Funeral services were held December 27, 1990 from the Russell Colonial Chapel in St Clair, with Rev Ted Marre officiating. Interment was in Midlawn Memorial Gardens, near Union.
