I thought I had posted this on the 25th but do not see it:

The 1870 Census of Sugar Creek, Cass Co, MO
Chas Sprague, age 47
Lucinda, age 49
Olive 20
Orlando 19
Morris 6

The 1880 Census of Independence, Jackson Co, MO, enumerated 17 June
Lozina Sprigg (later changed by a user to Sprague), age 60, born in KY
Orlando, son, 29
Morris, 24
Oliva, 20
---Lozina is identified as "Mother", but at 60, she can't be the mother of Logan Monjounery, age 50. All in this household were identified as being born in Kentucky, but could this be the "correct" family and the enumerator made a mistake of place of birth. But, also the ages of Morris and Oliva are not close.

There are several posted family trees containing Orlando, born 1 Sep 1850 in Holly, Orleans Co, NY, died 10 Jan 1933 in Blue, Jackson Co, MO. His parents birth info is present, but nothing on date/place of death.

Two newspaper articles were found on Orlando and his wife:

The Bureau of Land Management has a database of land patents:
issued under the Homestead Act and other Congressional Land Acts.
On 7/17/1890, Lucina M. Sprague was issued 160 acres in Douglas County. Located in Township 26 North, Range 15 West:
The West half of the North West quarter section of Section 34
The South East quarter of the North West quarter section of Section 34
The North East quarter of the North East quarter section of Section 33
--I found no proof this is the correct person

Orlando also obtained land in Douglas Co., 40 acres on October 18, 1886; and 160 acres on 6/28/1890.

Morris, died 1930, buried in Los Angeles Co, CA:;
