Funeral services for Mrs. Frank A Dushek, a resident of Steele county for nearly 40 years, were held Saturday morning at ten o'clock at the Sacred Heart church, with Monsignor John Pivo in charge. Burial was made in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Joseph, Vincent and Louis Rishavy, Frank Hudrlik, Joseph Pirkl and Herman Hincheski served as pallbearers. Mrs. Dushek died at her home on St. Paul street last week Thursday morning at 10:20 o'clock. She had been in failing health since last spring, having been confined to her bed for the past five weeks because of the severity of her illness.
As Mary Meixner, she was born in Bohemia March 15, 1866, and came as a girl to America, joining her brothers here in Owatonna. She was married to Frank A Dushek in the Sacred Heart church here on November 15, 1892. They made their home on St. Paul street, where they had lived since.
Surviving are her husband; four sons, Joseph, Anton, Wencl and Rudolph, all of Owatonna; four daughters, Mrs. Emil Pavek (Agnes), Mrs Anton Wavrin (Mary), Mrs. Clarence Woolison (Martha) of Dodge Center and Mathilda at home; three brothers, Anton and Joseph Meixner of this city and Frank Meixner of Lankin, ND and a sister, Mrs Frank Kubat of Brocket, ND. Twelve grandchildren also survive.
Those from away attending the funeral were Louis Mikolas of Waubay SD and Mrs John Mikolas of Waseca.
